Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about the technical requirements for viewing the Hays.com website. If you don’t find the answer to your problem here please contact techsupport@hays.com.
Why doesn’t your website look right?
The website has been tested using all modern web browsers on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. The preferred browser is Internet Explorer 7, which Windows users can download from Microsoft. The website has been tested in the following browsers: Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7, Firefox 1.5 and 2.0 and Opera 9.
It should be possible to view the site in other browsers, but it might look a bit strange and some functionality may not be available.
Why don’t the maps work?
The maps require a javascript enabled web browser. The above mentioned browsers all have javascript enabled by default.
Does your website require cookies?
No, cookies are not required to access any part of the site.
It says I need to download the Flash plug-in, what’s that?
The Flash plug-in is for viewing animations and various other things. On this website some Flash may be used, but it is only for decoration. You don’t need the Flash plug-in to access any part of the site or view any content.
I tried to download a report but I can’t open it?
The downloadable reports are in PDF format. To view PDF files you need the Adobe Acrobat viewer. This is free software available from Adobe.com.
