Business Controller

For one of our clients located in the center of Brussels (Central Station), Hays is looking for a Business Controller:

As Business Controller, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Collaborating with business unit directors to establish, control, and monitor budgets and detailed business plans.
  • Providing financial advice and cost-saving solutions based on financial indicators.
  • Participating in projects in the Benelux region and working closely with colleagues from the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
  • Monitoring and controlling costs in collaboration with senior management.
  • Monthly activity reporting and financial reporting to management, parent companies, and partners.
  • Preparing necessary reports for the board of directors, works council, and auditors.
  • Providing financial support in commercial negotiations and financial modeling of new partnership agreements.
  • Calculating the profitability of new projects and products.
  • Contributing to ALM functions such as refinancing, treasury management, and reporting.
What we're looking for:
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Economics/Finance and around 2 to 5 years’ experience in finance. You speak English fluently as well as French, knowledge of Dutch is an asset. You have good proficiency in Excel, excellent communication skills as well as strong analytical skills and a passion for numbers. You have an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
