Hays is looking for a Senior Accountant in Zaventem:

What you'll be doing:
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
  • Document financial transactions for several legal entities
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and ensuring that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations
  • Support external statutory and fiscal audits
  • Guide to accounting staff by coordinating activities, providing training, and answering questions
  • Develop procedures and controls to ensure accuracy and standardize and/or simplify processes
What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in accounting with strong knowledge of BE GAAP and year-end closing
  • Fluency in French or Dutch and English
  • Experience working with financial software and Excel
  • Passionate about finance
  • Able to adapt quickly to changes and handle multiple priorities concurrently
  • Analytical, accurate, and have strong data-gathering skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a great communicator
  • Experience working in a multinational company
