Accounting Manager

For one of our clients, Hays is looking for an Accounting Manager in Waregem:

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team (7 accountants)
  • Guarantee timely financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, both internal and legal.
  • Manage customer credit effectively and optimize working capital.
  • Coordinate audit processes and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Contribute to projects focused on continuous improvement and digital transformation.
What we're looking for:
  • A master’s degree in accounting or finance
  • At least 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position within an international context.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and BE GAAP standards.
  • Proven track record in financial closing, audit coordination, and tax compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities paired with advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP FI/CO).
  • Proficiency in Dutch, English, and French.
