Hays is partnering with an international company active to recruit an Corporate accountant. This European leader operates across multiple countries and combines a strong operational footprint with a centralized finance structure.
You will join a dynamic, international finance team where collaboration, accuracy and continuous improvement are key. Your new role As Accountant Corporate Accounting, you report to the Accounting Manager and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes across multiple entities. Your responsibilities include:

• Managing general ledger activities including account allocation and reconciliations
• Preparing intercompany transactions and recharges across different entities
• Handling cash-related activities and supporting treasury-related processes
• Ensuring accurate recording of revenues and expenses in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly closings (accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
• Monitoring and analyzing account fluctuations and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting VAT processes and real estate tax accounting
• Preparing financial statements and management reporting
• Assisting in budget and forecast processes
• Supporting payroll accounting in collaboration with the Payroll Manager
• Contributing to audits (internal and external) and ensuring compliance with deadlines

Your profile

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or economics and you bring 2 to 3 years of experience in General Ledger accounting. In addition, you have:

• A solid knowledge of VAT and local GAAP; exposure to IFRS is a plus
• Experience in a multi-country or international environment is an asset
• A background in services or retail sector is preferred
• Fluent in English and French; Dutch or German is a strong plus
• Strong Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft tools; SAP S/4HANA is an asset
• An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• A proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented approach
• The ability to work independently while being a strong team player
• An interest in systems, process improvements and continuous learning
