About the organization 
For our client, an international player in the manufacturing sector, specialized in diesel engines, we are looking for a Customer Service Representative to strengthen their team in Rumst. You will be part of a professional team where customer focus, quality, and growth are key priorities.
Your role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be handling order intake and providing support to both internal teams and external clients by addressing their questions and requests. Your responsibilities include: 
- Develop a solid understanding of customer support processes, especially in handling service disruptions and recovery efforts.
- Begin cultivating strong connections with a select group of clients, while also stepping in to support fellow Customer Service team members when needed.
- Engage with continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and addressing operational challenges.
- Collaborate actively across departments to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Enter, update, and manage orders, ensuring customers receive prompt confirmation. 
- Oversee the daily drop-ship operations for parts distribution centers within the Cummins Global Logistics Network. 
- Ensure all required documentation is complete and transferred to logistics partners to facilitate seamless deliveries.
- Handle customer communications across all channels, including phone, email, and fax.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their orders, including any delays or back-orders, by retrieving and sharing relevant data.
- Generate invoices based on agreed terms and ensure all shipped items are billed appropriately, especially at month-end.
- Assist in resolving service issues by coordinating with all involved parties to implement cost-effective recovery plans. 
- Act as a support resource for other team members when needed, helping manage additional customer accounts.
Your profile
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in customer service.
- Familiarity with logistics, whether in import, export, or transportation is essential.
- Strong communication capabilities.
- Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms is considered an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality are important. 
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment is key.
- Ability to navigate and utilize computer tools effectively is essential.
