Financial Controller

For a company active in the retail sector, Hays is looking for a Financial Controller :


What you'll be doing:
  • Analyzing the financial results, the balance sheets and the income statement trends.
  • Correcting proposals to ensure accurate and timely monthly and/or quarterly financial closing.
  • Presenting the final figures to the headquarters and internal stakeholders.
  • Checking financial figures in compliance with local (BEGAAP, LUX GAAP) and international (IFRS) accounting rules.
  • Controlling the operational activities of the SCC located overseas.
  • Participating actively in the continuous improvement of processes


What we're looking for:
The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in finance/economics and between 3 and 8 years’ experience in finance (audit, consultancy or controlling). You speak English fluently as well as Dutch or French, knowledge of both national languages is an asset. You have strong communication and analytical skills. Further, you have good knowledge of IFRS and BEGAAP accounting rules. You are results oriented and open to change. Above all, you have experience with SAP and an advanced level of Excel.
