Your job:

  • Linux System Engineer
  • Responsible for operational management of Linux infrastructure for assigned customers
  • Provides operational support (2nd and 3rd line), implements, patches, upgrades, and migrates Linux server infrastructure on private and public cloud infrastructures
  • Works directly with engineering teams to incorporate Docker into their software deployment workflows
  • Contributes to pre-sales process to conduct technological discussions with clients
  • Participates in defining open-source hardware and software requirements, acquisition, installation, and configuration
  • Participates in documentation of activities, system changes, procedures, policies, and standards for Linux architecture

Your profile:

  • Fluent in English, Dutch, and/or French (written and spoken)
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in IT
  • Client-oriented, methodical, organized, accurate, and have a great sense of detail
  • Can work independently as well as in a team, is good at multitasking, and can handle stress
  • Skilled in creating and enhancing high-quality-rated as-built documentation, implementation procedures, and processes
  • A real problem solver with an eye for detail
  • Technical skills in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, systems automation, deployment, and configuration management tools, ITIL concepts, MySQL, Apache, scripting languages, enterprise management of Linux, and virtualization platforms beyond VMware
