Your new role
As a Local IT Support Technician, you will be an essential part of a collaborative team, responsible for delivering high-quality technical support. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing deskside support by troubleshooting IT-related incidents involving software and hardware, including mobile devices, laptops, PCs, and printers.
- Acting as a local point of contact for technical teams, offering remote assistance as needed.
- Assisting with the installation of new or upgraded systems and applications, participating in testing and troubleshooting.
- Supporting meeting room setups for video conferences and presentations, ensuring smooth operations during these events.
- Keeping colleagues informed about the progress of their incident or service requests.
- Managing stock and handling tasks related to new joiners, leavers, and movers.
- Traveling to various offices to provide on-site support as required.
- Documenting work performed, including resolution steps, in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
- Regularly reviewing and updating incidents and requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintaining Knowledge Base articles within the ITSM.
- Being available to work outside normal hours for project work or major service outages.
