Located in Ghent, our Central Distribution Center (CDC) is the largest warehouse in the Volvo Group, covering 120,000 m² and handling over 8 million order lines annually. Powered by 800 dedicated colleagues, we guarantee timely and high-quality spare parts delivery globally.

Your Role
As a Packaging Engineer, you are part of the warehouse engineering team—the engine for continuous improvement and future readiness. You develop new packaging solutions, balancing safety, quality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

What You Will Do
  • Define packaging specifications, storage requirements, and transport packaging for new and existing parts.
  • Provide daily support to operational teams on packaging topics.
  • Lead impactful packaging-related projects with an open and critical mindset.
  • Share operational knowledge with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Profile
  • Relevant experience in packaging and logistics (engineering background is a plus).
  • Ability to drive improvements.
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills.
  • Comfortable working with global and operational teams.
  • Structured approach to balance daily tasks and major milestones.
