Hays is currently recruiting for a well-established company in the distribution sector, located in the region of Ternat. The organization operates across several business units and is known for its strong market presence and continuous growth. With a workforce of approximately 150 employees, the company fosters a collaborative and pragmatic culture, where initiative and ownership are encouraged. The IT department plays a central role in supporting business operations and driving digital transformation.
Your new role
As IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading key IT initiatives aimed at optimizing business processes and supporting digitalization. You will report directly to the IT Director and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of IT projects, from scope definition and business case development to implementation and delivery
- Coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring effective communication across departments
- Identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues proactively
- Overseeing vendor selection and performance monitoring
- Supporting change management and ensuring smooth transitions to new systems
- Sharing knowledge and coaching colleagues to improve project management practices
Your profile
You have at least 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager in a complex environment, ideally within distribution, retail, or related sectors. You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field OR equivalent experience and have experience with ERP implementations, preferably Microsoft Business Central.
Key qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of IT architecture and business applications
- Experience in change management or project portfolio management is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch or French, with excellent command of the second national language and English
- Decisive, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in project management or change management is an asset
