As an engineer in regulatory affairs, you will work in the advisory and coordination office of an international company with a strong name. You get every opportunity to develop yourself in the latest technical evolution.
Your new role
- You closely study, analyze and follow the developments in the European and technical legislation and standards.
- You will work on regulatory topics across a range of evolving domains, such as emissions, fuel additives, noise, battery propulsion, lithium batteries, electrification, sustainability, chemistry, artificial intelligence, vehicle connectivity, and autonomous driving.
- You ensure the necessary reporting and information flow to all relevant departments within the company (R&D, certification and sales) to ensure technical compliance of the products and to support business and technology planning.
- You study technical files and actively participate in consultations and meetings with all parties involved, both at European and international level, to collect the necessary information and to defend the interests of the products.
- You actively represent the company’s interests in industry associations and engage with national and European authorities to help shape the regulatory landscape.
Your profile
- You have a technical master’s degree (e.g. automotive technology, (electro)mechanics, chemistry, IT...) or an equivalent degree combined with a passion for technology.
- You have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy diving into legal and technical texts to extract clear and useful insights.
- You are a team player with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
- You are a strong communicator in English, both in writing and speaking, with the ability to clearly articulate positions and provide well-founded advice. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
- You are prepared to occasionally travel abroad for your job.
