Your new role
As Risk & Control Officer, you will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and managing operational risks within the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process: evaluating material risks and mitigation measures, ensuring consistency and validation by management, and keeping assessments up to date.
- Monitoring remediation plans and ensuring their implementation.
- Managing operational risk incidents: escalating issues, ensuring proper reporting in group tools, and coordinating remediation actions.
- Performing controls on incident collection processes and ensuring cross-checks with other databases.
- Coordinating the assessment and quantification of potential incidents and promoting risk awareness across the organization.
- Ensuring procedures are adapted, updated, and communicated effectively.
- Defining and executing control plans based on risk assessments and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring control results and ensuring follow-up actions are implemented.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, you bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in operational risk management, internal audit, compliance, or internal control within the banking industry.
- A Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a critical mindset and resilience.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team objectives.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, with French or Dutch as your native language.
