Your new role
As Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of the accounting function for the Belgian entity. This is a key role in which you will lead monthly closings, ensure compliance with SOX controls, and act as the main point of contact for external audits. You will collaborate closely with remote teams and contribute to the standardization and improvement of accounting processes.

Your responsibilities include:
- Leading accounting activities and setting best-practice standards
- Managing monthly closings, reconciliations, and reporting with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensuring compliance with SOX controls and driving continuous improvement
- Acting as the primary liaison for external audits
- Coordinating with the Shared Service Center overseas for transactional execution
- Identifying opportunities to simplify and strengthen accounting procedures
This role is part of a broader transformation initiative. You will be expected to help formalize and implement new processes in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Your profile
You bring at least 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally within an international company. You are fluent in Dutch and English, and have a strong understanding of Belgian GAAP. Experience with Oracle and SOX compliance is essential. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with remote teams.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience with monthly closings and audit coordination
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (SOX)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Hands-on and solution-oriented mindset
- Oracle experience
- Fluency in Dutch and English
