Your new role
As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the architecture of mission-critical systems. Your main tasks include:
- Acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify and document high-level requirements
- Translating operational needs into a scalable, future-proof system architecture aligned with the roadmap
- Creating architecture and high-level design documentation
- Supporting development teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Ensuring consistency across components with a focus on safety, security, and maintainability
- Leading workshops and technical discussions to validate architectural decisions
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced professional with:
- Professional fluency in English, plus proficiency in Dutch and/or French
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Solid background in software architecture and requirement analysis
- Proficiency in data modeling and design tools (e.g., UML)
- Experience in UI application design and software implementation
- Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and security principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to moderate workshops under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with safety-critical systems or signaling technology is a plus
