Hays is partnering with an international organization active in the professional services sector to recruit a Finance Manager. The company operates within a global structure and works closely with international offices, including the UK and the US.

Your new role
As Finance Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finance activities of the Brussels office. You act as the main point of contract for all local finance matters and work closely with international stakeholders, reporting directly to the Director of Finance Europe. Your responsibilities include:
  • Managing end-to-end payroll for Brussels employees in collaboration with an external payroll provider
  • Maintaining accounting records in line with beGAAP in cooperation with external accounting and tax advisors
  • Reviewing and processing invoices, payments, and expense reports
  • Supporting the billing process in coordination with international revenue teams
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Brussels office
  • Managing banking activities and online banking access
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects and financial analyses
You will operate autonomously in this role and act as a key link between the local office and the broader international organization. You have no direct reports but the possibility to structure this team for the future.

Your profile
You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and you bring relevant experience in a similar role within an international environment.
In addition:
  • You have hands-on experience with Belgian payroll and related regulations
  • You have a strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and tax rules
  • Experience in a professional services or international environment is a plus
  • You are fluent in English, good knowledge of French and/or Dutch is desirable
  • You can manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • You possess strong communication skills and easily collaborate with stakeholders across levels
