For a client from Brussels, Hays is looking for a freelance IT Application Owner.

• Long term contract
• 3 days working from home
• English and French and/or Dutch

Your tasks:

As a IT Application Owner :
- You will manage a set of applications
- You will manage software licences and vendors contracts
- You will ensure the availability of the application documentation over the term
- You will ensure the smooth transition of the applications into production
- You will ensure the application compliance with the IT policies & procedures
- You will onboard application onto IT Risk and control related tools
- You will be the interface with internal and External Auditors for IT Audits, Remediate Audit Findings, IT Risks and control related issues
- You will ensure availability of application documentation
- You will perform the strategic application planning, application lifecycle management
- You will communicate information security risks and issues to business managers and others
- You will be able to conduct investigation on security breaches in line with security policy
- You will be able to provide detailed and specific advice regarding the managed applications
- You will ensure appropriate actions are taken to investigate and resolve problems in the application

Your profile :
- You have a degree in Business, Economics or Computer Science
- You have +5 years relevant working experience as application owner
- You speak English and Dutch and/or French
- You have experience in the financial services or large corporate environments
- You have a profound analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- You have good communication and excellent interpersonal skills
- You have pro-active and flexible working approach
- You have an ability to think outside the box to resolve problems
- You are efficient, well organized and detail oriented
- You have a knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices
- You have a familiarity with Project management principles.
- You have experience in Agile methodology and tooling : JIRA, Confluence.
- You have a knowledge of Application Architectures and fundamental principles of software interfaces
- You have experience the following technologies : IT Service Management, Service Now tools, Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle Database, Java, Kubernetes, Artifactory, Teamcity, Bitbucket
- You have knowledge of IT Risk and Controls, IT Security
- You have experience in infrastructure and database migrations/upgrades.
- You have a hands on experience on to write scripts as needed – Shell, PowerShell, batch files and also with Linux operating system with good command over scripting languages.
