Your new role
This role combines strategic sourcing, procurement, and production planning to ensure a seamless flow of materials supporting production, customer demand, and inventory goals. You will work closely with suppliers, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, sales, and quality teams.
Planning & Coordination
- Develop and maintain supply and production plans using demand forecasts, historical data, and business requirements.
- Perform MRP runs and ensure timely ordering of raw materials and components.
- Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and sales to align supply plans with production schedules and customer demand.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Place, track, and manage purchase orders with suppliers.
- Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate lead times, prices, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA).
- Support new product introductions with timely procurement of parts.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate material master and purchasing data in the ERP system.
- Analyze KPIs such as inventory turns, supplier on-time delivery, and PO accuracy.
- Participate in S&OP, production meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your profile
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- at least 3 years of experience in a Buyer/Planner or related role.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, demand planning, and purchasing best practices.
Preferred
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical device, aerospace, pharma).
- Familiarity with GMP, GDP, and ISO standards.
- APICS/CPIM or similar certification is a plus.
- Experience working with international suppliers and freight forwarders.
