Your new role
As Technical Support Engineer, you provide high‑level technical and application support to professional users across Europe. You help customers in sectors such as energy logistics, transport terminals and industrial operations to optimise their systems and reduce downtime.
Your responsibilities include:
As a Technical Support Engineer, you combine application support with a growing involvement in technical engineering activities. You are responsible for ensuring the continuity and performance of critical systems used in industrial environments.
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing advanced technical and application support to customers via phone, email and remote tools
- Troubleshooting complex issues related to software, databases and system configurations
- Working with Linux environments, MySQL/MariaDB databases and networking concepts
- Participating in onsite and remote implementations of customised solutions, including testing and configuration
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers by recommending best practices and improving operational efficiency
In addition, you will gradually support engineering activities (approximately 20% of the role):
- Assisting with hardware implementation, wiring and configuration
- Reading and interpreting technical and electrical diagrams
- Supporting testing activities, including cabling and equipment validation
- Acting as a backup for engineering tasks when required, with training provided
You will also contribute to documentation, user training and collaborate closely with development teams to resolve software defects.
Your profile
You have a first experience in a Technical Support or IT environment and are eager to expand your skills towards engineering. You are hands-on, solution-oriented and comfortable interacting with customers.
You bring:
- Fluency in English and Dutch, as English is the main working language, German and French are a big plus
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics, Electromechanics or similar, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Linux, MySQL or MariaDB, and general IT infrastructure
- A strong interest in both software and hardware aspects of technical environments
- The ability to read technical or electrical diagrams, or willingness to learn
- A proactive mindset, resilience under pressure and strong customer focus
- A willingness to learn and grow within a technical role
- A valid category B driving licence
