Accountant

Temporary role | English - French | A-Z Accounting | SAP | 5+ years' experience
For one of our clients, Hays is looking for a General Accountant to help them with their financial operations.

What you'll be doing:
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and accounts are reconciled.
  • Review and approve all payments related to operations within the scope.
  • Regularly verify the matching of invoices against issued orders.
  • Manage offshore teams in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury, enhancing their expertise.
  • Oversee expense claims and validate their payments.
  • Ensure accurate input of statistical data and prepare necessary declarations.
  • Process and supervise VAT declarations, guiding the teams on tax filings.
  • Verify, generate, and account for all payroll operations.
  • Manage credit note reimbursements and client payments.
  • Control and approve the release of bank guarantees in the system.
  • Validate GL account certifications in the tool.
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, overseeing activity reporting in the system.
  • Support annual account audits, providing necessary documentation to auditors.
What we're looking for:
  • Strong expertise in general accounting.
  • Proficient in financial software tools such as SAP and Excel.
  • Fluent in both English and French; Dutch is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining confidentiality and discretion with sensitive data.
